    Social movement or political party?

    In first-past-the-post political systems, such as in the United States, third political parties can sometimes do more harm than good. In countries with preferential voting systems, smaller political parties can have a public profile and a role in political processes without harming "lesser evil" outcomes.
    So, starting as an international on-line presence, what should the Purple Party aim to be? A social movement? A political party? Or both? Suggestions, please ...

    to be sucsesfull, it must be boath a movement  and a party. (the two can not ecsist without each other)
